In the East of Antioquia, between beautiful landscapes furnished by the infinity of colors coming from their intense plantations; we proudly project a C.I ANTIOQUEÑA DE FRESAS S.A. with the purpose to offer the world the best delights in fresh fruit and natural food, processed with dedication and quality in order to satisfy our customers. These plantations are done with technology and friendly processes with the natural environment , we offer in a permanent way a line of products, such as fresh fruit, dehydrated strawberries, pulverized strawberries, wines etc. The company was created in Itagui (Antioquia) In the year 2.000 with the purpose of commercialize the fresh fruit to retail and wholesalers. At the beginning we only counted on suppliers from Cundinamarca and two producers from the East of Antioquia ; at the current moment we have more than one hundred and twenty producers , and our own plantations ; one of them in Cumaral in the Rionegro Municipality, with 4 hectares planted with 200.000 (two hundred thousand) plants, and the organic project ( without chemicals ) which started as an experiment in Santa Elena, with 10.000 plants planted in 3.000 mts.2 . At the moment 90% of the covering of the demand is done by the East of Antioquia, and the remaining 10% is covered by other regions in the Country. Our main fresh fruit commercialization channel is focus: 70% to the informal market section, and the 30% left to industrial area; so far we have 70 clients and here are the most representatives: Frugal , Panamericana de Alimentos, Reposteria El Portal, Tortas y Ponquês, Agricola el Fresal, among others. Since strawberry is a product highly perishable Antioqueña de Fresas is developing new products ,searching to find a more lasting fresh fruit , in order to open new markets The enterprise is looking for optimizing efficiency , minimizing risks in order to generate new opportunities to the people who are directly or indirectly involved with the company, to improve their standard of life quality, and achieve the opportunity to work for their own companies, through strawberries producer associations, multipartite cooperatives , and job associations enterprises , all of those are being trained and are obtaining a permanent assistance by C.I ANTIOQUEÑA DE FRESAS S.A.
